A note from Joe Quinones
Why I built LoneSlice
I do the learning so you don’t have to.
I'm a third-generation artist and I've been a craftsman for 40 years. I've worked as a printer, sign painter, and logo designer. I'm a coppersmith and a woodworker. I cast metal, build interior lighting, and make leather and sheepskin goods. And for 34 years I've made bread knives and sold them face to face at craft shows and farmers markets. Put it all together and I'm a product designer, which is why new technology still pulls me in. I use it to build the websites, advertising, and graphics for my own product lines, and I've turned what I learned into tools and a platform for makers who don't have the time to do the same.
I know the tables, the tents, and the long days in the sun. I also know that making a good product is only part of running a small business.
You start because you love making something, and maybe to work from home near your family. Then come the labels, the website, the social posts, the software. Every hour on those is an hour away from your craft and the people you started this for.
Learning all of that took me two years. You shouldn't have to spend yours the same way.
LoneSlice brings it together in one place: well-made tools, rewards for customers who support local businesses, and practical help for the people doing the making. Bakers and BBQ spots are at the heart of it. Printing, branded products, and digital and AI services take care of the work around your business.
One rule runs through all of it: it should save you time.
Keep making what you make best. My aim is to help more people who value handmade work find it.
